What are cosmetics and natural cosmetics packaging?
Cosmetics packaging refers to bags and film packaging for solid cosmetic products: natural soaps, bath bombs, bath salts, scrubs, solid shampoo, solid conditioner, lip balm, powder products (dry shampoo, tooth powder, deodorant stick powder), beauty tools (pads, sponges) and sample ranges.
Unlike liquid cosmetics (jars, bottles, tubes), solid cosmetic products are increasingly packaged in bags — part of the plastic-free movement and the trend towards solid, water-free cosmetic formulations.
Typical requirements: breathability for natural soaps (adhesion seal with an air hole), an aroma barrier for products with active essential oils (aluminum laminate), visibility for bath bombs (OPP window) and a premium look for gift ranges (kraft paper, cotton drawstring).
Materials are certified to EU 10/2011 for direct food contact — important for lip balm and edible beauty products.
