The black stand-up pouch with aroma protection valve is an opaque Doypack made of LDPE with a bottom gusset and an integrated one-way degassing valve – the solution for freshly roasted coffee. The valve lets CO₂ escape and blocks oxygen, the pouch is light-tight and food-grade in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011.
You need it whenever you fill coffee directly after roasting. Fresh roasted coffee off-gasses CO₂ for days; without a valve the pouch would inflate or burst.
The one-way degassing valve only opens outwards: overpressure from off-gassing CO₂ escapes, but oxygen from outside does not get into the pouch. This keeps the aroma fresh without the packaging being damaged. The black film is additionally light-tight and protects the sensitive roasted aromas.
Choose the valve variant for fresh, not yet degassed coffee. For already off-gassed goods or other dry products, the black pouch without a valve is sufficient. For a maximum aroma barrier, the valve principle can be combined with an aluminium laminate. As a PE monomaterial, the pouch goes into the recycling bin for plastics.
For your roaster brand, the pouch can be printed in flexo or gravure; on black, light or metallic logos look especially refined. When filling freshly roasted beans, the valve is already integrated – you do not need to retrofit anything and pressure equalisation begins immediately.
