Stand-up pouches for food – also called food-grade doypacks, food stand-up pouches or certified stand-up pouches – are the universal packaging solution for all foods that should stand on the sales shelf. Certified food-grade to EU 10/2011 and often additionally LFGB.

Unlike application-specific variants (coffee, tea, spices), this variant is the universal solution for all dry and moist foods: muesli, granola, dried fruit, nuts, snacks, biscuits, baking mixes, powders, herbs and much more.

Material: composite film with an aroma inner barrier (aluminum or PA/PE composite depending on the application). For premium aroma protection, see the aluminum variant. For an organic look, the kraft-paper variant. For visible content presentation, with a window.

A declaration of conformity is supplied on request – important for those placing products on the market in food retail to meet their legal obligations.

Which certification do the bags have?

All stand-up pouches for food are certified to EU 10/2011 (the EU-wide regulation for plastic materials in food contact), often additionally to LFGB (the German food, consumer goods and feed code). A declaration of conformity is supplied on request.

Which foods are they suitable for?

For all dry and non-aroma-sensitive foods: muesli, granola, dried fruit, nuts, snacks, biscuits, baking mixes, powder ranges. For aroma-sensitive contents (coffee, tea, spices), better to choose specific variants with an aluminum inner layer.

Which sizes are available?

Standard sizes 100 g (90×180 mm), 250 g (130×220 mm), 500 g (160×270 mm), 1 kg (200×330 mm). Up to 5 kg for a catering format. Special sizes outside this grid as custom production.

Is a zip closure recommended?

For end-customer sales, absolutely: a zip closure allows repeated opening and reclosing. Practical for storing muesli in the kitchen cupboard, a dried-fruit supply etc. For industrial first packing without end-customer contact, also possible without a zip with pure heat sealing.

Suitable for freezing?

Yes, composite film is cold-resistant down to approx. −50 °C. For classic freezing (−18 °C) without problems. With repeated freeze-thaw cycles the outer film can become brittle, but the aroma protection is retained.

Microwave-safe?

No – standard composite film is heat-resistant up to approx. 80 °C. For microwave applications you need special heat-resistant films. Standard food stand-up pouches are a pure packaging solution, not for heating.

Possible with a window?

Yes – food-grade stand-up pouches with a window sell particularly well for colourful muesli or dried fruit. The window is worked in from crystal-clear film, the aroma barrier in the opaque part. See the specific variant.

Printable with FIC mandatory information?

Yes – ingredients, nutrition table, allergen information, best-before-date field, manufacturer details, net weight: all directly printable. Food-grade printing inks are used. Combinable with an individual logo and brand identity as custom production.

Reusable for end customers?

With a zip closure, yes – high-quality ziplock closures last 500+ opening cycles without noticeable loss of tightness. For kitchen storage of muesli or dried fruit, practically usable over months.

Suitable for organic food?

Yes, with a kraft-paper outer variant for an organic look – see kraft-paper stand-up pouches. Food-grade certification applies regardless of the outer material. For organic-association certificates (Demeter, Bioland, Naturland), talk to us about specific requirements.
