Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Elke Plastic GmbH, published at elke-plastic.de.

General Description of the Service

The website of Elke Plastic GmbH allows users to find information about products and services, to get in touch, and to place orders or bookings directly online.

Applicable Legal Requirements

Digital services are subject to the requirements of Section 14 of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSG) in conjunction with Section 3 (1) of the BFSG, as well as the regulation implementing the BFSG (BFSGV).

Implementation of Accessibility Requirements

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation with the assistance of the AccessGO accessibility tool.

Based on this review, the website is partially accessible in accordance with the aforementioned requirements.

Specifically, the following points are not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

  • Barrier: Some buttons are empty or do not contain descriptive text.
  • Barrier: Skipped heading level in the document structure.
  • Barrier: Redundant adjacent links with identical destinations.
  • Barrier: Some form fields do not have a correctly associated text label.
  • Barrier: Missing association of a label to a form field.
  • Barrier: Redundant title text for an element.

Planned approach to addressing the mentioned barriers:

We are already working on fixing these barriers.

Note regarding PDF files:

Some PDF documents provided on the website (e.g., user manuals, declarations of conformity, energy labels, certificates) are currently not fully prepared in an accessible format.

These files sometimes have structural and technical limitations – including missing heading structures, undefined reading orders, missing alternative texts for graphical content, or untagged tables. This means they can only be used to a limited extent with assistive technologies.

For organizational and economic reasons, it is currently not possible for us to make all existing PDF documents fully accessible. However, we will strive to publish new documents in an accessible format in the future, where possible.

If you require a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us. We will be happy to provide you with an individually accessible version to the extent that it is possible for us.

Addition to the Accessibility Statement

Our website offers the accessibility plugin AccessGO (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH.

This allows users to adapt our website to individual limitations or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be controlled with the keyboard.

Among other things, it is possible to adjust the following aspects:

  • Font size
  • Contrast
  • Highlighting of links
  • Activation of a screen reader
  • Use of profiles to activate multiple settings at the same time.

To carry out the tasks of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz), the federal states are currently establishing a joint body. The Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is to begin its work as a new public law institution in Saxony-Anhalt, in the state capital of Magdeburg. The prerequisite for this is the ratification of the State Treaty on the fulfillment of tasks under the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) by all federal states. All states are currently creating the necessary conditions for this.
