Side gusset bags in aluminium laminate – light-proof with aroma valve

Side gusset bags in aluminium laminate are flat bags with a fold worked into both sides and an aluminium barrier layer within the film structure. Empty, they lie flat and store compactly; when filled, the side gusset folds outwards, creating volume and a standing base.

The structure is OPPmatt19/AL7/PE110: on the outside 19 µm matt oriented polypropylene as a printable, scratch-resistant surface, in the middle 7 µm aluminium as the barrier layer, and inside 110 µm polyethylene as the food-safe sealing layer. The aluminium sits between the layers and never touches the contents.

The seal seam runs inside the side gusset. The integrated aroma valve is a one-way degassing valve: it lets the CO₂ from freshly roasted coffee out and blocks oxygen from getting in.

Food contact is certified to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011; the declaration of conformity is supplied on request.

Wherever light-sensitive, aroma-rich goods are packed and larger fill volumes are needed at the same time.
