What the gold coffee bags are made for

Freshly roasted coffee releases CO₂ over several days. The integrated aroma protection valve lets this gas escape one-way and prevents oxygen from reaching the beans – so the aroma is preserved and the bag does not balloon. The gold look makes this version especially interesting for premium roasts, gift packs and limited editions where the first impression on the shelf counts.

Material and aroma protection

The aluminium composite is the strongest available barrier against oxygen, light, moisture and aroma loss and is therefore ideal for keeping coffee fresh. The side gussets give volume and a secure stand, the gold surface the premium feel. The one-way degassing valve is firmly integrated and works on its own. Food contact is certified per EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011; the declaration of conformity (PIM) is available on request.

Gold or black – which version?

Both versions are technically identical: aluminium composite, side gussets, aroma protection valve, light-tight. Gold looks refined and warm and suits premium and gift positioning; black is the understated, modern alternative. If you want to make the contents visible and do not need a valve, the transparent OPP side gusset bags are the right solution.

What does the aroma protection valve do on these bags?

It lets the CO₂ that freshly roasted coffee releases escape one-way to the outside while blocking oxygen at the same time. This lets you pack coffee right after roasting without the bag ballooning or the aroma suffering.

Why a gold finish?

The gold surface sets a premium and gift accent and highlights high-quality roasts or editions on the shelf. Functionally it is identical to the black version.

Are the gold bags light-tight as well?

Yes. The aluminium composite makes the bags fully light-tight despite the gold look and reliably protects aromas and coffee oils from light exposure.

How do the gold bags differ from the black version?

In the look alone. Aluminium composite, side gussets, valve and barrier effect are the same on both. Gold positions itself as refined and warm and gift-oriented, black as modern and understated.

Why aluminium at all instead of transparent film?

Aluminium offers the highest barrier against oxygen, light and moisture. Coffee is especially aroma-sensitive; transparent film without light protection would lose its freshness much faster.

Do the bags stand on their own when filled?

Yes. The side gussets create volume and a base area, so the filled bag stands upright — ideal for presenting premium coffee at the point of sale.

How do I seal the bags airtight?

Via the sealed seam with a film sealing device. A tight seal is important so that the aluminium barrier and the valve concept together unfold their full freshness-keeping effect.

Can the gold version be finished with my brand branding?
