The biodegradable kraft paper stand-up pouch is a doypack with a kraft paper look that relies on compostable materials – the most sustainable option in the stand-up pouch range. It is food-grade in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 and stands securely on the shelf when filled.
You choose it when the packaging itself is part of your sustainability promise. It combines the natural paper look with biodegradable functional layers and suits consistently eco-positioned brands.
The biodegradable layers are designed to break down under the right conditions. The relevant standard is EN 13432 for compostable packaging; whether industrial or home composting applies depends on the specific structure – we will send you the certified details on request. The barrier is designed for dry products with a manageable storage time.
If compostability is at the heart of your brand story, this version is the right one. If, on the other hand, you need a longer shelf life or a higher barrier, the classic kraft paper, the aluminum-free or the aluminum version is better suited. Pure paper components otherwise belong in the waste paper.
The natural surface takes print motifs in flexo or gravure printing in a matt, high-quality finish, which further supports the ecological brand message. Because the biodegradable layers are designed for dry products, do not fill the pouch with moist or greasy foods that would impair decomposition or storage. We will tell you the correct disposal and labelling recommendation together with the certificate.
