The rLDPE adhesion seal bag with recycled content, bevelled flap, no air hole, 40 microns is the sustainable variant made from recycled polyethylene with a self-adhesive flap. With 40 microns thickness and a fully closed, air-hole-free casing, it is suitable for dust-tight non-food packing and for textiles — with significantly reduced virgin plastic usage.

01

What the rLDPE adhesion bag is used for

This bag is aimed at everyone who wants to set up their packaging more sustainably without giving up transparency and tool-free closure. Without an air hole it seals dust-tight, and the self-adhesive flap makes packing fast.

  • Non-food packing — small parts, accessories and loose goods, packed dust-tight
  • Textiles — packed cleanly and protected from dust
  • sustainability-oriented brands — visibly reduced virgin plastic
02

Recyclate and sustainability

rLDPE stands for polyethylene with recycled content. With it you lower the need for virgin material and close the plastic loop without giving up recyclability: the bag remains PE mono-material and runs single-variety in the PE stream. The recyclate variant is not suitable for direct food contact — rLDPE is still undergoing testing for food-contact suitability.

03

Choosing 40 microns and the right variant

At 40 microns this is the slimmest variant of the adhesion bags — material-saving and well suited for light, uncritical contents. If you need more tear resistance, reach for the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns; if you want to present flat textiles de-aerated, the PP bag with air hole is right. If sustainability is the priority, this rLDPE variant is the right choice.

04

Closure and processing

Despite its recycled content, the bag behaves in everyday use like a virgin bag: the bevelled flap carries the same self-adhesive strip, which you simply fold over and press down after filling. No sealing device and no tape are needed, which makes packing fast and even. The crystal-clear film gives you a full view of small parts, accessories or textiles, while at the same time you reduce virgin plastic usage — a combination that is particularly interesting for sustainability-oriented brands.

Frequently asked questions about the rLDPE adhesion seal bag with recycled content

What do rLDPE and recycled content mean?

rLDPE is polyethylene with a recycling share. Instead of pure virgin plastic, part of the bag consists of recovered material. This lowers the need for virgin material and closes the plastic loop, while the bag remains recyclable as PE mono-material.

Is the bag food-safe?

No. At present, all rLDPE variants are still undergoing testing for food-contact suitability. For direct food contact, please choose our food-safe bags made from virgin LDPE.

Why only 40 microns — is that enough?

40 microns is deliberately chosen slim to save material, and is enough for light, uncritical contents. If you need more stability and tear resistance, the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns is the better choice.

Is this bag less transparent than a virgin bag?

No, the bag is crystal-clear and gives a full view of the contents. Despite the recycled content, visibility is retained, so the goods remain visible.

When do I take this variant instead of the pure LDPE version?

Whenever sustainability is the priority and you want to reduce virgin plastic usage. For maximum tear resistance you choose the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns; for de-aerated textile presentation, the PP bag with air hole.

Why does this variant have no air hole?

Without an air hole the bag seals dust-tight and holds back fine contents such as powder and spices. The air hole only makes sense for flat textile presentation and is deliberately absent here.

How do I dispose of the rLDPE bag correctly?

It belongs in the yellow bag. As PE mono-material it is NIR-detectable and fully recoverable in the German PE recycling stream, designed to be PPWR-compliant — the already contained recycled content also stays in the loop.

Does the self-adhesive closure work exactly like on virgin material?

Yes. The bevelled flap carries the same self-adhesive strip: peel off the protective strip, fold over, press down. The recycled content changes nothing about the tool-free processing.
