The LDPE ziplock bags with Euro hole punch 50 microns are crystal-clear zip bags with a reinforced Euro hole punch at the top, with which you hang them directly on a pegboard or retail hook. The 50-micron film and the double-lip press-to-close zip make them the retail-ready standard solution for self-service displays.
01
What the Euro hole is for
The Euro hole (Euro-standard punch) is the standardised hanging point for self-service presentation. Instead of laying the bag down, you hang it on the pegboard — the contents stay visible through the crystal-clear PE. This is especially suited to:
Self-service sale of small parts, accessories and spare parts on the hook
Food portions presented hanging on the shelf
Sets and inserts that should be space-savingly accessible on the pegboard
02
Material and properties
LDPE is soft, tear-resistant and crystal-clear, so the contents are shown off fully. The hole punch is reinforced so the bag does not tear out on the hook. The material is food-grade per EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 (declaration of conformity on request), suitable for freezing down to around -40 °C and, as a PE mono-material, recyclable as well as PPWR-compliant from 2030.
03
50 microns Euro hole vs. other variants
At 50 microns you are well set up for light self-service items. For heavier contents that pull harder on the hole, the 90-micron Euro hole variant is more stable. If you don't need hanging but only packing, choose the version without a punch. The round hole you'll find on the PP bag; the standardised Euro hole here is the standard hook solution in classic retail.
04
Presentation at the point of sale
On the self-service shelf, hanging presentation often decides whether a product is picked up: goods at eye level on the hook are noticed more often than stacked bags in the bin. The crystal-clear LDPE lets the contents show fully, so the customer immediately sees what they are buying — an advantage for small parts, accessories and portioned food. The reinforced Euro hole punch prevents the bag from tearing under its own weight and fits the standard hooks common in retail. If you also want to use the packaging as a brand carrier, the free film surface can be printed with a logo and product info in flexo or gravure.

Frequently asked questions about the LDPE ziplock bags with Euro hole 50 microns
What exactly is the Euro hole punch?
A standardised, reinforced punch at the top of the bag that fits the European standard hook. With it you hang the bag directly on a pegboard or sales rail — ideal for self-service presentation.
Does the hole tear out with the 50-micron film?
Not with light to medium contents, as the punch is reinforced. If you hang heavy items that pull strongly on the hole, the 90-micron Euro hole variant is the safer choice.
Does the Euro hole fit every pegboard?
It is punched to Euro standard and fits the common standard hooks in retail. For special hooks, measure the hook diameter in advance.
What distinguishes the Euro hole from the round hole of the PP bag?
The Euro hole is the standardised keyhole shape for classic retail hooks; the round hole on the PP bag is a simple round hanging point. Functionally you hang both — the Euro hole is the retail standard.
Does the press-to-close zip stay tight despite the punch?
Yes. The hole sits above the double-lip zip and does not affect the closing function. The zip still holds 30–50 opening cycles.
Is the Euro hole variant food-grade?
Yes, certified per EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011, so also suitable for hanging-presented food portions. Declaration of conformity on request.
How do I dispose of the bag with a Euro hole?
Via the recycling bin as LDPE mono-material. The punch does not affect recyclability in the PE stream.
Which sizes are available with a Euro hole in 50 microns?
The available dimensions are in the order table above. The Euro hole is adapted to the respective size; custom formats on request.
