The LDPE zip lock bag with euro slot punch 90 µm is the robust self-service variant: crystal-clear LDPE with a double-lip press-to-close zip, a reinforced euro slot for hanging, and a strong 90 µm wall thickness. This lets you present even heavier items securely on a pegboard.
The heavier the item hanging on the hook, the more pull is exerted on the film and the punched slot. The 90 µm wall and the reinforced punch withstand this stress better than the standard thickness. This is typical for:
Even at 90 µm, LDPE stays soft and crystal clear, but gains significantly in puncture and tear resistance. The euro slot punch is reinforced so the bag doesn't tear under load. Food contact is certified according to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 (PIM on request), the material is freezer-safe down to around -40 °C and recyclable as a PE mono-material, PPWR-compliant from 2030.
The 50 µm euro-slot variant is enough for light hanging items and is cheaper per piece. Once the weight increases or customers frequently pick up and re-hang the bags, 90 µm is the more durable choice because the wall and slot can withstand more. If you don't need a hanging option, choose the version without a slot.
On the sales hook, the entire weight of the filled bag acts on a single point on the punched slot — and that's exactly where thin film tends to tear. The 90 µm wall distributes this load better and deforms less, while the reinforced euro slot punch withstands repeated hanging and removal by customers. This matters at retail because a torn or fallen bag detracts from the sales impression. At the same time, the contents remain fully visible through the crystal-clear LDPE, and the double-lip zip stays resealable over 30 to 50 cycles. As a mono-material PE, the bag is fully recyclable via the recyclables bin after use.
