The Red Coffee Bags are light-proof aroma-protection stand-up pouches made of aluminium composite with an integrated one-way aroma valve — the strong signal colour for espresso roasts, dark blends and bold house brands. The aluminium completely blocks out light and oxygen, the valve lets the CO₂ of freshly roasted beans escape.
Red stands out immediately on the shelf and conveys intensity, warmth and character — the fitting visual language for espresso, dark roasts and full-bodied blends. If your coffee is bold and spirited, the red front underlines exactly this expectation even before the first sip. The stand-up base keeps the pouch tip-proof on the sales shelf.
Beneath the red surface works the same protective structure as in all aluminium variants: a composite with aluminium as the maximum barrier against light, oxygen and moisture. Strongly roasted, oily espresso beans in particular outgas CO₂ intensely. The one-way degassing valve is therefore indispensable: it directs the gas outwards, keeps oxygen away and prevents the bag from bloating.
The technical protective effect is identical for red, black, gold, silver and white — the difference lies solely in the brand effect. Take red for signal, espresso and bold character, when the pouch should radiate temperament right on the shelf. If the appearance should be elegant and dark, black suits better; gold for premium, silver for a neutral base, white for bright print surfaces. If, on the other hand, you need a recyclable mono-material bag, the LDPE variant with K-sealing is the alternative — it runs in the PE stream, but has no valve and no complete light barrier. The integrated one-way valve discharges the CO₂ that freshly roasted coffee outgasses for days, and at the same time blocks out oxygen. Especially with strongly roasted, oily espresso beans the gas release is high — without a valve the bag would bloat. With a valve you can pack directly after roasting.

Yes. Like all aluminium variants it is completely opaque thanks to the composite structure. This is important because light, alongside oxygen and moisture, is one of the main causes of aroma loss — especially with aroma-intensive dark roasts.
No, the aroma and light barrier is the same for all aluminium colours, since the material structure is identical. The colour is purely a brand and range decision: red for signal and espresso, black for elegant, gold for premium, silver for classic, white for branding.
Yes. The inner sealing layer is food-grade and resistant to the oils of dark roasts. The valve is designed precisely for the strong CO₂ release of oily espresso beans, so that freshness and pressure equalisation are ensured even at intense roast levels.
