Snack bar packaging requires quick processing, grease/moisture protection and take-away suitability. The choice of material depends on the type of food and the consumption time window (immediate consumption vs. longer take-away).
Wet-strength parchment substitute 40 g/m² — the chip standard
Classic grease- and moisture-resistant paper with wet-strength sizing. The standard for chips, pretzels, deep-fried ranges. Breathable (food stays crispy) while also grease-proof (no soaking through).
Kraft paper 50–80 g/m² with PE inner
Kraft paper outer (natural or white), with a 15–25 micron LDPE coating inside. Protects against grease soaking through with sausages, doughnuts, Berliner doughnuts. Recyclable in the paper recycling stream (PE content below 5%).
Kraft paper 80–120 g/m² — carrier bags
Sturdy natural paper with a twisted paper cord as the handle. Load capacity 5–10 kg, suitable for medium-weight to-go orders. For premium snack bars, with a flat handle for up to 15 kg load capacity.
OPP film 30 microns — confectionery version
Crystal-clear polypropylene film with high brilliance for sweet snack ranges: roasted almonds, liquorice, sweets. Brilliantly transparent, printable in flexography with a premium look.
Food-grade certification
All materials are certified for direct food contact in accordance with EU 10/2011 and LMIV. Declaration of conformity (PIM) with every order on request. Migration test reports for particularly sensitive foods available.
FSC certification
On request, all paper packaging is FSC-certified — proof of sustainable forestry, important for organic snack bars and sustainable food truck concepts.
