The PE Side Gusset Sacks with Recyclate are large-volume sacks made from recycled polyethylene (recyclate) with 60–90 microns material thickness and built-in side gussets. The gussets fold open during filling and create a cuboid volume — ideal as a liner for cartons, mesh pallet cages and pallets in industry and logistics.

01

What side gusset sacks are used for

The side gusset expands the flat-lying sack into a voluminous container that adapts to the shape of carton or mesh cage. This lets you use the inner volume of the container fully and handle bulk and unit goods cleanly and protected from dust.

  • Liners for cartons, mesh pallet cages and pallets in logistics
  • Industrial packing of bulk material, granulate and components
  • Shipping of large-volume or bulky goods with moisture and dust protection
02

Material and recyclate

The recyclate is recycled material: reprocessed polyethylene that conserves resources and is not necessary for demanding display applications. For robust industrial and logistics tasks where protection and volume matter rather than crystal clarity, recyclate is the economical and more sustainable choice. PE is cold-resistant down to about -40 °C and heat-stable up to around 70 to 80 °C.

03

Choosing the right thickness and size

At 60–90 microns these sacks are designed for standard industrial contents and offer enough tear resistance for handling in mesh cages and cartons. Make sure that the flat width plus the unfolded side gusset matches the internal dimension of your container, so that the sack sits crease-free. For very sharp-edged or particularly heavy contents, a thicker film is advisable; we clarify the suitable dimensioning together if needed.

04

Sustainability through recyclate

Using recyclate lowers the need for virgin plastic and is a sensible lever precisely for industrial and logistics packaging, because visual demands are secondary here. As a PE monomaterial the sack also remains recoverable in the recycling stream. This way you combine robust protection for your heavy goods with a lower ecological footprint.

Frequently asked questions about the PE Side Gusset Sacks with Recyclate

What is the benefit of the side gusset?

The built-in side gussets fold open during filling and turn the flat sack into a cuboid container with significantly more volume. This way the sack adapts to the shape of carton or mesh cage and uses the inner volume fully.

What does recyclate mean for these sacks?

Recyclate is reprocessed polyethylene, i.e. recycled material. It conserves resources and is intended for industrial and logistics tasks where protection and volume are more important than perfect crystal clarity or food suitability.

Are the sacks suitable as liners for mesh pallet cages?

Yes, that is a core application. As liners, the side gusset sacks line mesh pallet cages, cartons and pallets from the inside and protect the contents cleanly from dust and moisture — and can simply be removed together with the contents after use.

Which size suits my mesh cage or carton?

What matters is that the flat width plus the unfolded side gusset matches the internal dimension of your container, so that the sack sits crease-free. Tell us the internal dimensions of your mesh cage or carton and we will name the suitable size.

Are 60–90 microns enough for heavy bulk material?

60–90 microns are designed for standard industrial contents and offer good tear resistance for handling. For very sharp-edged or particularly heavy contents, a thicker film is advisable so that the sack is not punctured.

Are the recyclate sacks suitable for food?

No. All rLDPE variants are currently still in the testing phase for food safety and are not approved for direct food contact. For food-grade applications we recommend our virgin-material variants — get in touch and we will name the suitable alternative from our range.

How temperature-resistant is the material?

Polyethylene is cold-resistant down to about -40 °C and heat-stable up to around 70 to 80 °C. This makes the sacks suitable for storage and transport under normal to cold conditions, but not for hot filling.

Can I get the sacks with a print?

Yes, printing, for example with a company logo or handling instructions, is possible in flexo printing. We agree minimum order quantity and lead time with you — submit an enquiry.
