The PP Ziplock Bags with Round Hole 50 microns are crystal-clear bags made from polypropylene with a double-lip ziplock closure and a round hanging hole. PP looks more brilliant and slightly stiffer than PE and gives your contents a premium, clear look at 50 microns wall thickness.

01

What the PP bags with round hole are used for

PP is the choice when presentation counts: the material is particularly clear and dimensionally stable, the bag creases less and lies cleanly on the shelf. The round hole also lets you hang it up. Typical uses:

  • premium self-service presentation of small parts, jewellery, accessories on the hook
  • food portions such as spices and dry products with a premium view
  • samples and sets where the crystal-clear look is part of the product
02

Material and properties

Polypropylene (PP) is crystal-clear, stiffer and more brilliant than LDPE — but less soft and slightly rustling. The bags are food-grade to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 (PIM on request) and, as a PP monomaterial, recyclable in the PP stream, RecyClass-compliant and PPWR-compliant from 2030. Note: PP is stiffer in the cold than PE and less suitable for intensive freezing than an LDPE bag.

03

PP or LDPE — which fits?

Take PP when maximum clarity, stiffness and a high-quality look matter — for example for presentation on the hook. Reach for an LDPE ziplock bag when you need softness, high flexibility and full freezer suitability down to about -40 °C. The round hole here serves for hanging; the standardised variant is the Euro hole of the LDPE bags.

04

Premium look for merchandise presentation

The real sales advantage of PP lies in its brilliance: the film is more crystal-clear and dimensionally stable than soft PE, so the bag stands cleanly on the shelf instead of creasing and the contents come right to the fore. This makes it the first choice when the look is part of the product — with jewellery, premium accessories or finely packed food. Via the round hole you additionally hang the goods on the hook and use the self-service area optimally. In printing, too, PP plays to its strength: logos and product info show with particularly high contrast on the smooth, clear surface. The bag is disposed of as pure polypropylene via the recyclables bin in the PP recycling stream.

Frequently asked questions about the PP ziplock bags with round hole 50 microns

What is the advantage of PP over LDPE?

PP is more crystal-clear, stiffer and more brilliant — the bag looks more premium and creases less. This makes it ideal for presentation, where the look of the contents counts.

Are the PP bags suitable for freezing?

Only to a limited extent. PP becomes stiffer and more brittle in the cold than PE. For genuine freezer applications down to about -40 °C, an LDPE ziplock bag is the better choice.

What is the round hole for?

For hanging on hooks or a pegboard. It is a simple round hanging hole; the standardised keyhole shape for classic sales hooks is offered instead by the LDPE Euro-hole variant.

Is PP food-grade?

Yes, the bags are certified for food contact to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011. The declaration of conformity (PIM) and migration test reports are available on request.

How often can I reseal the PP bags?

The double-lip ziplock closure withstands 30–50 opening and closing cycles. Since PP is stiffer, the zip has a slightly crisper closing feel than with soft PE.

How do I dispose of the PP bags?

Via the recyclables / recycling bin. As pure polypropylene they run in the PP recycling stream and are RecyClass-compliant — so cleanly sortable and recoverable.

Does the round hole tear out easily?

Not with light self-service articles. PP is dimensionally stable; with heavier hanging articles you should check the weight and hook shape or switch to a sturdier hanging solution.

Which sizes are available for the PP round-hole bags?

The available dimensions are shown in the order table above. We clarify special sizes on request; we are happy to send you samples of the standard sizes in advance.
