The LDPE ziplock bags without write-on panels 50 microns are crystal-clear bags made of soft polyethylene with a double-lip press-to-close zip. The 50-micron film is the standard wall thickness for light to medium contents that you want to open again and again and reseal securely.

What the 50-micron ziplock bags are used for
This wall thickness is the all-rounder for packing and storing. Because the bag stays fully transparent, you recognise the contents without opening — practical in warehouse and workshop logistics. Typical uses are:
Small and spare parts: screws, seals, electronic components
Samples, specimens and set compositions for shipping

Material and food suitability
LDPE (low density polyethylene) is soft, tear-resistant and crystal-clear. The material is cold-resistant down to around -40 °C, so suitable for freezing, and stays dimensionally stable up to around 70–80 °C. The bag is food-grade per EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 — we send you the declaration of conformity on request. As a pure mono-material it runs cleanly in the PE recycling stream and is thus PPWR-compliant from 2030.

50 microns or 90 microns — choosing the right thickness
At 50 microns you are well served for standard contents without extreme stress: light, transparent, cost-effective per bag. If you have sharp-edged, heavy or pointed contents that could puncture — such as metal parts with burrs — reach for the stronger 90-micron variant. If you need a writing surface to note batch and date, the version with three white write-on panels is the better choice.

Closure and reuse in everyday use
The double-lip press-to-close zip works on the press-to-close principle: you run the two profile lips together with your fingers until they audibly engage — without a slider or tool. Over 30 to 50 opening and closing cycles, the closure stays functionally reliable, so you can reuse the same bag multiple times instead of discarding it after a single use. This not only saves material but keeps powders, small parts or food residues protected from dust and moisture between removals. Because the film is a pure PE mono-material, the bag belongs in the recycling bin at the end of its life cycle and is cleanly recovered in the German recycling stream.

Frequently asked questions about the LDPE ziplock bags 50 microns without write-on panels
How often can the press-to-close zip be reopened?
The double-lip zip holds 30–50 opening and closing cycles without loss of function. You simply press the two profile lips together with your fingers (press-to-close) — no tool, no zipper slider needed.
Is the 50-micron film suitable for freezing?
Yes. LDPE stays flexible and break-resistant down to around -40 °C, so you can use the bag in the freezer. For hot filling above 70–80 °C, however, PE is not designed.
When is 50 microns enough and when do I need 90 microns?
50 microns is enough for light, smooth contents such as powders, small parts or documents. For sharp-edged or heavy contents that could puncture the film, the 90-micron variant is the more robust choice.
Why does this bag have no write-on panel?
This version is deliberately fully transparent — you see the contents completely and without white fields. If you want to write batch, date or label directly on the bag, choose the variant with three white write-on panels.
Is the bag approved for direct food contact?
Yes, it is certified for food contact per EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011. We provide the declaration of conformity and, on request, migration test reports.
How do I dispose of the LDPE bag correctly?
Via the recycling bin. Since the bag consists of pure LDPE mono-material, it is NIR-detectable in the German PE recycling stream and fully recoverable.
