Bakery packaging has to be breathable, grease-proof and food-grade — baked goods keep breathing after baking, but need protection from grease bleed-through and drying out.
Kraft paper 35–60 g/m² — standard version
Natural paper in brown or white, breathable. Suitable for bread rolls, croissants and bread. Not grease-proof — combine with a PE inner layer for oily baked goods. Standard cross bottom and bottom bags for bakery sales.
Kraft paper with PE inner layer — grease-proof
Kraft paper on the outside, with a 15–25 microns LDPE coating inside. Protects against grease bleed-through with croissants, Danish pastries, doughnuts and chips. Food-grade to EU 10/2011 and recoverable in the paper recycling stream.
Greaseproof substitute, wet-strength
Speciality paper with wet strength for moist baked goods: filled rolls, salads, wraps and fresh baked goods with a high moisture content.
Cone bags and carrier bags
Classic bakery packaging formats made of kraft paper: cone bags for confectionery and sweet snacks, paper carrier bags for take-away assortments.
Cross bottom bags — the bakery standard
A square base shape for stable presentation: bread sales at the bakery counter, patisserie assortments and organic baked goods with a farm shop character.
Food-grade and food information (FIC)
All materials are certified to EU 10/2011 and the food information regulation (FIC). Declaration of conformity (PIM) on request. Migration test reports are available for sensitive bakery products.
