The kraft paper aluminium-free stand-up pouch is a doypack with a kraft paper look whose barrier is built entirely without an aluminium layer – which makes it significantly easier to recycle. It is food-safe in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011, stands securely when filled on the shelf and is the right choice when recyclability is part of your brand story.
You choose it when recyclability is part of your brand story and the contents do not require an extreme oxygen barrier. It offers solid protection for dry goods with considerably better recyclability than an aluminium composite.
Instead of an aluminium layer, a recycling-friendly functional layer provides the barrier. As a result, the oxygen and light barrier is lower than with aluminium, but the pouch can be recovered in the appropriate recycling stream. For long shelf life of the most sensitive products, aluminium remains the reference.
If recyclability and a credible environmental image matter to you, the aluminium-free variant is the right one. If you need maximum barrier and the longest shelf life, for example for very aroma-intensive products, choose the aluminium composite. For fresh coffee, an aroma-protection valve can be added here too.
The aluminium-free construction makes the pouch a credible building block of your sustainability story without giving up a proper barrier for dry goods. Print motifs in flexo or gravure printing put sustainability claims visibly in the spotlight. The exact disposal recommendation depends on the material labelling; we send you certificates and proof of conformity on request.
